Voluntourism in SE Asia

I just stumbled across a couple of great website resource for Voluntourism – the recreation of tourism combined with volunteering work for charities and non-profits. It’s called True Travellers. They have an impressive set of links for places around the world you can go to contribute some time and energy for the good cause. Stray Asia Voluntourist Stops in Laos

Stray Asia already makes a stop in at the Abundant Water organisation in Vientiane where travellers can learn how to make a water filter (also see the June newsletter for more pics). We also provide learning materials to a remote school in Laos called Ban Lad Khammune. As always we are looking to do more for the environment and make a positive contribution. Perhaps you could “hop-off” the bus at one of these locations and help out for a bit?
